User Requirements

It is easy to launch a software development project with Synthesis-NET. To start, just drop us a note or give us a call to let us know what your needs are. Our experts will then work with you to identify your requirements. Although it helps, we do not expect you to have well-defined, structured requirements. It is enough for you to relay your needs and expectations. We will assess this information, follow-up with some questions and our thoughts and work with you on developing a requirements document that is acceptable to both parties.

System Requirements

We will translate the User Requirements into a description of the optimal technical solution for your project. Synthesis-NET will then work with you to ensure that the solution we propose truly reflects the needs you expressed.

Bids

Our bids typically include a description of the architecture of the project, preliminary technologies analyses, cost estimation, design suggestions, and a timeline for completion. This initial estimation is free and usually developed within a week.

All project information delivered to us is treated confidentially. However, if you require, we can also sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) that further protects your privacy and intellectual property. Our staff also routinely sign such agreements before working on sensitive projects.

Process

At Synthesis-NET we fully document our software development processes. They are based on best practices and industry standards such as Rational Unified Process. This allows us to successfully develop high quality projects within budget and on-schedule.

The key phases of a typical software development project are:

Inception

Project launch and initial identification of requirements. Entails about 5-10% of the project.

Elaboration

Collection and analysis of requirements, planning, design and architecture of the system occurs during this phase. Entails about 20-30% of the project.

Development

The largest phase of the project where most of the coding, development, and testing is performed. Entails about 50-70% of the project.

Handover-takeover

The results of our work are delivered to and installed for the client. Entails about 10% of the project.

In general, projects involve these four stages. However, depending on their complexity, available budget, and our client’s needs, some phases or parts of phases (e.g., User or Technical Documentation, etc.) may be excluded. Our development process is flexible and tailored to our client’s needs.
